The aspherical lens factor also improves optical practical use by minimising distortion, even at the 28mm wide end. The lens incorporates Panasonic's MEGA O.I.S. optical image stabilizer, which makes it easy to shoot super clear shots even in low-lit scenarios by repressing the blur caused by a hand shake. For the lens is mounted on the Lumix G Micro System DMC-G1 camera, you can operate the direct contrast AF system, which is carried through in the DMC-G1 to also provide a wide selection of much more comfortable functions. With its lowest focus length of 30 cm yet at full zoom, the lens can present a maximum photographic magnification of 0.34 x. xEOL.
I got certain "pancake" kit lense, so I bought this on an individual basis in order to receive some zoom and a wider angle. I know it's not the actual wide angle, but at 28mm equiv., this lens captures lots of the scene. It has been really great for my wife and I as we go house hunting.
The rough textured grip area for where you switch to zoom is nice intuitive feeling. The entirely zoom bounds feels liquid, yet a bit heavy. I like this basically because it does n't resemble I will modify the zoom (or currently the focus even, if in manual mode) unintentionally as i let go of the drum.
Regrettably though, for portraits, the optimum aperture of 3.5 does n't quite reach that goal clever gentle depth of field that is really so desired. For that a justification, one must always get the 20mm f1 .7 lens to associate with this excellent lens.
