Banquet your eyes on an updated G Series digicam : The G12. It's ready to strike the advanced hobbyists who have always feted the G Series. The G12 is still set with powerful technologies that has made the G Series cameras so renowned, like the Canon HS SYSTEM, 2.8-inch Vari-angle PureColor System LCD, and RAW + JPEG image modes. Now, this flagship camera paves the way with your new upgrades like 720p HD Video with stereo sound to experience very clear footage, multiple aspect ratios, High Dynamic Range, Electronic Level, Tracking AF, a Front Dial even more to present you with still further creative control than before!.
Probably an important new feature is employment of Canon's HS (high sensitivity) system (supplement of sensor and processing engine) which transmigrates from the EOS line. Does it present on its reassure for boosting image quality and let shooting at higher ISO? I do think the answer is yes it does, but not lots. The camera maxes out at 3200 ISO marked from a dial and how can i topple it up to 12,800 albeit at lower resolution using le Low Light mode. Again, this will be how it looks to my not professional apace aging, eyes. Whether it is worth expired an upgrading from a G11 is altogether summary and I incapable of answer this for anyone. The camera also has the Hybrid IS system a la the updated 100mm Canon macro lens which compensates for a greater range of camera shake type. It looked to me like the camera did a to a greater extent effective job at holding sharper photos at currently the alike speeds as my G11.
Right there are extra new shooting modes like HDR that takes various photos so therefore combines 'em for greater detail, healthier exposure. FYI, this feature was available in Ricoh cameras for sometime already, so Canon and Nikon are just catching up here. But I think it works a little better on their Canon than it does in my Ricoh. The photos do look a little richer, closer to to me. Canon extends a level claims adjustor with this kind of camera therefore you can maintain your photos appearing, well more level. Another feature that appeared to be available elsewhere for many years.
There are other refinements about this camera. Like you're able pre-set the maximum ISO level (I like basically because a great deal of cameras appear to default to a higher ISO than I definitely set for myself), there is a front dial to control scenes (another hereditary pattern from the EOS line), in addition you can operate the dynamic range (just like on Sony cameras coming from the past) for ameliorated highlight clipping control, and that you might shoot in a 1:1 aspect ratio (square which I in person like however, you reckoned it, Canon is late about the party on this lineament too) to mention a few.
