Complete Review Nikon D5100 16.2MP CMOS Digital SLR Camera with 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 AF-S DX VR Nikkor Zoom Lens

After five years through the good times with the Nikon D40's favorite, it's time for me to upgrade part of the body, although usually only buy yet another camera that a beginner class. Earlier this month I got a special discount from the camera shop so I can bring home a long time Nikon D5100 I seek, and this time I am trying to write a small review to simply share the reader as well.

Nikon D5100 launch in answer to Canon 600D ten months ago. Just a reminder, though still classified as D5100 and 600D DSLR beginner class, but both were quite expensive. So do not be surprised if the camera is like a less popular, such as those that limited funds will be more interested in the D3100 or Canon 1100D, or 550D. Love this camera. I've always wanted a pro camera but don't have the budget for it.
This camera is an excellent substitute. It has many of the inputs I wanted for mic. the Zoom is great. the HD quality is amazing. And I personal LOVE the anti-shake or the stabilization Panasonic is known for. Example: I was shooting some vid from a boat and the rocking motion is barely noticeable. And the touch screen is really nice. Still have to try ALL the different settings and functions the camera has but I'm looking forward to it.

The only other camcorder on the market that could compete with this cam is the Canon HF G10 which is a bit more costly and also lacks 1080/60p function. Other than that, this cam takes the cake for photograph quality and as always, low lighting performance. Panasonic has really done a exceptionally excellent job. The only complaint I have is that they claimed low lighting was improved by 45% from last year's model (HS700) and I did not notice any improvement.

Video quality from Panasonic HDC-TM900K 3 MOS 3D Compatible Camcorder is outstanding. The image stabilization is fantastic. Low light performance is fantastic. However, when in the realm of audio quality, the camera picks up a lot of white noise AND on top of that there's a very noticeable and irritating fan noise. there is an option to control mic level (which could potentially reduce how much white noise and fan noise is picked up) but the option is not available when shooting in full auto mode.

Another irritation is the mechanical click that happens when you release the zoom wheel. The product manual in fact tells you not to release the zoom wheel suddenly and guide it back into position to avoid picking up a clicking sound on the recording.
